{"id":983,"date":"2019-11-13T15:25:08","date_gmt":"2019-11-13T14:25:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.obicua.it\/progetti\/the-nest\/"},"modified":"2025-08-20T17:54:46","modified_gmt":"2025-08-20T15:54:46","slug":"the-nest","status":"publish","type":"progetti","link":"https:\/\/obicua.it\/en\/progetti\/the-nest\/","title":{"rendered":"The Nest Chalet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A contemporary chalet concept for the ski-lovers.<\/p>\n<p>The design consists in taking advantage of the natural slope of the terrain in order to maximize the panoramic view to the valley and to use solar radiation to increase the heating performances of the interior spaces, providing natural daylighting and ensuring the guest\u2019s privacy.<br \/>\nThe main idea is to work on the orientation of the building to implement sustainabilty and to produce an high integration between interior and landscape. The plot access is from a common walkway on the southside and the building is located on a slope facing the valley on the northern side. The best orientation for solar gain is South while the optimum for the view is North.<br \/>\nThat is why we propose a cylindrical shell that:<br \/>\n1- allows to integrate view\u2019s needs with optimal energy performances by opening up to the valley\u2019s panoramia while sun\u2019s rays are filtered by tall windows oriented to South and a skylight on the roof.<br \/>\n2- is set into the landscape as a compact element to minimize the impact on the natural environment.<br \/>\nWe believe that the vocation of a mountain \u201cNest\u201d is to be a unique and warm place where to spend some time contemplating the beauty of the place.<br \/>\nThe cylindrical volume allows to perceive the interior as a dynamic complex space with living, dining and night areas.<br \/>\nA double height between the living and the sleeping area upstairs implements the feeling of \u201ca whole\u201d space.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":3747,"template":"","tipologie":[38],"categorie_progetti":[235],"posizioni":[243],"class_list":["post-983","progetti","type-progetti","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tipologie-architecture","categorie_progetti-residential","posizioni-usa"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.9 -
