Madison Club Residence
A private residence at Madison Club becomes the setting for a different expression of luxury: a gallery designed to be lived in.
In the heart of the California desert, within an exclusive residential community known for its high-profile residents, a private home becomes a gallery to be lived in. Italian design, expressive materials and carefully selected furnishings engage with the surrounding landscape, creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living.
For this project, OBICUA approached interior design as the art of bringing together materials, objects and artworks in a carefully composed environment. The interiors are conceived not simply as a collection of rooms, but as a sequence of spatial experiences in which every element contributes to the identity of the whole.
The concept draws on the richness of Italian design culture, where material research, craftsmanship and attention to detail have long shaped the relationship between objects and the spaces they inhabit. Expressive marble, natural stone, warm timber and refined finishes establish a tactile vocabulary, while contemporary furnishings and carefully selected decorative elements introduce rhythm, character and visual balance.
Like a gallery, the residence allows individual pieces to emerge without losing sight of the overall composition. Sculptural furniture, striking material surfaces and works of art interact with light and perspective, creating moments of contrast between solidity and lightness, texture and reflection, restraint and expressive presence.
The setting gives this dialogue a distinctive dimension. Against the vastness of the desert, the interiors offer a more intimate landscape — one shaped by the precision of design, the richness of materials and the enduring appeal of Italian craftsmanship.
Here, Made in Italy is more than a reference to origin. It represents a design culture: a way of combining aesthetic sensibility, material quality and craftsmanship to create spaces with a distinctive identity.
The Madison Club Residence explores the idea of luxury as a cultural and sensory experience — where art is not confined to the walls, design extends beyond individual objects, and Italian excellence finds a new expression in the Californian desert.
